'You reap what you sow'

2nd week of work has ended. The packers(me, benson and andrew) has become lazier and more powerful. I think the staff and cashier realize how useful we are. This is proven when the manager ask us to work longer hours. But we refused. Got to know more cashiers and more staff. We give them nicknames like, crazy auntie, crazy alice, ah lian, cambodian, filipino and more. Would talk about everyone of them when my work is about to end. Just worried they might come across my blog and complain to supervisor.

Still waiting for the first airport pay. Den can fix my stoopid 6280 dat has gone haywire. Come to think of it, i really love my hp. Its my hp, mp3 and camera all in one. And there are important, personal msges plus topless pics of myself inside. Lol........

I think the service standard of POSB is very high. Be it by their hotline or or in the bank itself, ive always had a pleasant experience dealing with them. Most of the staff are friendly, kind and helpful. The hotline service is also prompt. Not forgeting the kawaii staff in Tampines West POSB. She looks a bit Jap. Dint saw her when i went there last friday though.
This is unlike some other bank where the staff was quite rude to me. Shouldnt name names. Macdonalds service have been very good too. The staff and manager are more than willing to help you.

Today, my fren, the sly one, said something which affected me. He said, 'You reap what you sow'. Maybe i haven't sow enough. Thats why its not reaping. Maybe i shall sow more. Then it will reap. Or maybe its not reaping because a sow is not halal......

Airport Adventure

Wanted to name the post 'airport escapade' bt that sounds a bit 'dirty'. Just finish my first week at work. I mainly work in the airport, (cosmetic company) packing perfumes into ziploc bag due to the recent liquid ban. I tink the liquid ban is stupid, bt come to think of it, it creates job for people like me. There are advantages and disadvantages...
Advantages:

1)I get to see plenty of air stewardess, some of whom are really chio. Saw this pretty korean air stewardess (i tink from Asiana). Shes like a hybrid of Song Hye Gyo and Lee Da Hae. I was stunned. Just stared at her. Wanted to impress her by conversing in korean but it seems that the 1 month plus korean course isnt too useful.

2)Im adored by some of the staff and cashier. Second day of work reporting and the auntie cashier was gushing......Wah so tall, wah so handsome. 'Auntie killer strikes Part 2'. The staff also likes to flirt with me. Hmm......guess they are bored of the female working environment.

3)Work can be very slack espeacially on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. When there are no customers, you juz sit around and chit chat with the cashier. Can also take break to walk around and go 'sightseeing'.

4)Pear Girls. These are gals working in the liquor shop opp our shop. They promote some pear wine...thus the name pear girls. They dress rather skimpily in white top and short green skirt. Every time we report and leave workplace, we nvr fail to glance and rate the pear girl for the day......Hot, OK or CMI.....lol.....

5)I get to spray expensive perfumes on myself. Chanel, Polo, Tommy, YSL, Gucci, Harley Davidson, Armani....name it, we got it.

6) Get to eat Popyes chicken. If im not wrong theres only one outlet in Singapore which is in the airport.

Disadvantages:

1)Working hour is pretty odd. Work from 7-11 am and also 7-11 pm. This means i get 2* naps rather than 1*sleep. Usually would be burnt out even before friday. This also means my days are spent working and sleeping.

2)Work can be very tiring when there are plenty of customers (thursdays and fridays). Juz pack and pack for 4 hrs straight while standing. Occasional glances at pear girls help to revitalise though.

3)Customers can get on your nerves when they start being rude and stupid. Some are late and want us to hurry up though we are almost at top speed liaoz. Some throw money at you and nvr say thank you (China tourist mainly). Some like to change their mind when we have pack their perfume. And some cant converse in English (the Koreans)

4)The breaks are pretty short. At most 10 mins. This is a vast difference to invigilation whereby breaks are 45 mins long.

5)Most of the staff and cashiers are of not my age group. Although some are friendly, but due to the age difference, we will run out of topic to talk as frequency is not the same.

Haiz, work will be starting in about 29 hours.....another long week. Looking forward to next weekend though...as there may be a class outing to watch pirates and..........heheheh.......

Last Week

Last week was invigilation week. Ive received 10 sessions for this month, though its much more than last year, i was expecting more. The appointment letter makes it sound as though invigilation is sumthing serious. But experienced invigilator like me and Kendrick know its a slack job with pretty good pay. By right we're not allowed to wear jeans, but i guess they wont make me 'take off my pants and jacket' if i wear jeans. So did most of the other invigilators.

Other than waking up early, i enjoy doing invigilation. Breaks are 45 minutes long and this does not include lunch break. And when u're tired, feel free to sit at the chair of the absentees. Also, i get to meet up with friends such as Kendrick, Kiasu, Mrf, Von, Shuhui and some other unexpected faces like Michelle. There were oso many familiar faces in the student population like Sharon, Siang long and not forgeting our good old sloppy Chiang. Just looking at Chiang doing the exam can make me laugh sia. He try to be serious and focus on the exam. But 'Serious Stanley' juz doesnt sound right. And to prove his sloppiness, he forgot to tie up his graph paper to the answer sheet.

Saturday, we took part in yet another tournament. This time around we were knocked out early and thus i rather not tok about it. Lol!!! Just think we shouldnt be overly serious. We gave it our best. Thats all that matter.
After that, we went to VIVO. Gay wanted to go home, but he dint dare take Rauf's car........i wonder y??? So as usual, we ended up squeezing inside KACC main sponsor.....nissan SUNNY. After eating, we just walk around. Dats when FJ said sumthing very funny. I was teasing him...as he pronounced Mother's Day as Mother Day....but that was not the funny part. According to him, it wasnt bad pronunciation, rather there was a justification for it. As all of us has one mother, therefore he calls it Mother (singular) Day. That, to me was the most interesting event of the day. No offence FJ.

Soccer Competition

Last sat we take part in a soccer competition. It was organised by Rotaract club. I was quite looking forward to it. Morale in the team was high. There was a sense of invincibility in us.We sent 2 teams, KACC and NSL. There was quite alot of newcomers this time around, Rauf, Ken, guo xin and GAY. It was quite nice seeing all of us gather. Soccer sessions before exam was becoming more and more isolated with less and less people attending.

Cpt was telling us that theres only 3 teams in each group. Top 2 qualify. This means each game is important. We cant lose any game. First game, we have to play against an indian team. There were technically superior than us. They dominate play and scored first. However we nvr gave up. Never! I think Kendrick has done a great job in instilling that self belief in us. We continued attacking and were duly rewarded with the equalizer when Lazy smash the ball home after some good work from me(LOL!!). That goal send us into delirium.

Next game we had to play against a MAT team. A draw would see us through to the KO stage. Bt KACC dont play for draw. Final score KACC 3 MAT 0. I mean SHAHID 3 MAT 0. The feeling of scoring a hat trick is nice. We qualify for the KO stage. Me and Chiang was feeling rather confident. The opposition don't look so strong. However looks can be deceiving. We had to dig deep to eventually win 1 nil. No prize for guessing who's the matchwinner.

During the quarter final, our opposition was EAST COAST FC. I know one of the players. He is good. However we match the team stride for stride. Their team scored first. Bt we never gave up. We attack wave after wave. But alas we lose the game. The tournament was a roller coaster ride for me.After scoring freely in the group stages and last 16, I miss some glit edge chances in the quarter finals. But thats life. As Alex Ferguson puts it, winning and losing are twins. When u win, u don't gloat, when you lose, you don't go bananas. Life is not always happy. As i tell Casper, success only taste sweeter after uve tasted defeat. Do i sound like Jose Mourinho Casper??

Life hasn't been oh too rosy for me recently. Thanks to those who have helped me in one way or another. You guys know who you are. Gamsahamida!!!
